FPRI Conference on Party Politics and Foreign Policy in East Asia

On January 27, FPRI hosted a day-long conference on Party Politics and Foreign Policy in East Asia, with panels on 1) Taiwan and Hong Kong; 2) China; 3) Japan and Korea; and 4) Indonesia. This video file features the papers and discussion for the panel on Taiwan and Hong Kong.

Papers were presented by Shelley Rigger, FPRI Senior Fellow and Brown Associate Professor of East Asian Politics, Davidson College, and Michael Davis, Robert and Marion Short Visiting Professor of Law, University of Notre Dame.

Commentators were Vincent Wei-cheng Want, Associate Professor of Political Science, Richmond College, and Jacques deLisle, Director of FPRI’s Asia Program, and Professor of Law at the University of Pennsylvania.

The moderator was Harvey Sicherman, President of FPRI.

Conference papers will be published in Orbis or as E-Notes or on the FPRI website.
