David J. Betz, an FPRI Senior Fellow, is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of War Studies, King’s College London, where he heads the Insurgency Research Group and is Academic Director of the on-line master’s degree, War in the Modern World. He has written widely on issues of the conduct of contemporary warfare, insurgency and counterinsurgency, information warfare and the RMA, most recently in the Journal of Strategic Studies and the Journal of Contemporary Security Policy. He also has a main research interest in the Russian military and civil-military relations.
On November 15th at the FPRI annual dinner Fouad Ajami was presented with the Seventh Annual Benjamin Franklin Public Service Award. The event was attended by over 360 people.
