Lt. Gen (ret) Jeff Kohler recently retired as Vice President of International Business Development for Boeing Defense, Space and Security. During his tenure with Boeing, he was responsible for international marketing and sales. Prior to joining Boeing, he was an officer and pilot in the United States Air Force rising to the rank of Lt. General. During his 34-year Air Force career, he held several command and staff positions including squadron, group, and wing commands. He was the director of Plans and Policy at the U.S. European Command headquartered in Germany; director of Operational Plans on the AF staff in Washington, D.C.; and served as the senior U.S. representative on the NATO air staff. His last assignment was a Director of the Defense Security Cooperation Agency within the Office of the Secretary of Defense. While there, he led U.S. foreign military sales financing programs, international military education, and humanitarian assistance, and demining programs. He earned an M.A. in history from the University of Indiana and a Bachelor of Science from the U.S. Air Force Academy. He also completed the U.S. Army’s School of Advanced Military Studies and the National Security Leadership Course at the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies. He is a member of the Council of Foreign Relations and the Foreign Policy Research Institute.
