Brandon Friedman is a Senior Fellow in the Middle East Program at the Foreign Policy Research Institute and Director of Research at the Moshe Dayan Center for Middle East and African Studies at Tel Aviv University.  Brandon is also the Managing Editor of the Dayan Center’s journal Bustan: The Middle East Book Review. Brandon teaches in Tel Aviv University’s international Master’s in Middle East Studies program and its B.A. in Liberal Arts program. His research interests include contemporary Middle East geopolitics and strategic analysis, nuclear arms proliferation, and the political history of the Middle East during the modern period. Brandon’s PhD research focused on the political relations between the rulers of the Persian Gulf littoral during the period of British military withdrawal from the region (1968 to 1971).  Prior to beginning his academic career in Israel, Brandon spent seven years working for a risk advisory consulting firm in the U.S.
