Ken Pollack is Director of Research of the Saban Center for Middle East Policy at the Brookings Institution, and an expert on He was previously Director for Persian Gulf affairs at the National Security Council. He also spent seven years in the CIA as a Persian Gulf military analyst.
This was the inaugural event of the Robert A. Fox Lectures on the Middle East, a series made possible by contributions from Philadelphia philanthropist Robert A. Fox.
On November 15th at the FPRI annual dinner Fouad Ajami was presented with the Seventh Annual Benjamin Franklin Public Service Award. The event was attended by over 360 people.
Dr. John M. Templeton, Jr. was dinner chairman.
