Mary Habeck is Associate Professor of Strategic Studies at the School of Advanced International Studies, Johns Hopkins University. She is the author of Knowing Your Enemy: Jihadist Ideology and the War on Terror (2006).
This presentation was part of U.S. Foreign Policy and the Modern Middle East: A History Institute for Teachers, presented by FPRI’s Wachman Center and the American Institute for History Education.
