Foreign Fighters and their Economic Impact

Matthew Levitt of th Washington Institute for Near East Policy presented a paper on the economic impact of foreign fighters, which was discussed by a panel of Brian Fishman, CTC, USMA; Christopher Hewitt, University of Maryland-Baltimore; and Lt. Col. Basheer Ilyas, USA, Joint Staff, DoD. It was moderated by Stephanie Kaplan, Visiting Fellow at CSIS/MIT.

This presentation was part of The Foreign Fighter Problem, a conference sponsored by FPRI’s Program on National Security and hosted by the National Press Club in Washington, D.C.
