Questions like these were examined on January 25, 2010 at Power in East Asia: What Is It and Who Has It?, a conference co-sponsored with and hosted by the Reserve Officers Association in Washington, D.C. and webcast online.
Panelists Drew Thompson, Director of China Studies at the Nixon Center, and Robert Sutter, Visiting Professor of Asian Studies at the Georgetown University School of Foreign Service, commented on “Rising China's Military and Economic Power and the Emerging East Asian Security Order,“ a paper by Robert Ross>, Professor of Political Science at Boston College. The panel was moderated by Jacques deLisle, Director of FPRI’s Asia Program and Professor of Law at the University of Pennsylvania
On November 15th at the FPRI annual dinner Fouad Ajami was presented with the Seventh Annual Benjamin Franklin Public Service Award. The event was attended by over 360 people.
