A nation must think before it acts.
Eric Trager is a Ph.D. candidate in political science at the University of Pennsylvania, where his dissertation research focuses on Egyptian opposition parties. He has interviewed over 100 Egyptian opposition party leaders, and was in Cairo for the first week of the recent — and perhaps revolutionary — demonstrations against the Mubarak regime. His writings have appeared in Foreign Affairs, The New Republic, Foreign Policy, and Commentary magazine, among other publications. He received his undergraduate degree in government from Harvard in 2005, and was a Fulbright fellow in Cairo from 2006-2007.
