David Danelo has been appointed Director of Policy and Planning, Customs and Border Protection

FPRI Senior Fellow David Danelo has been appointed Director of Policy and Planning, Customs and Border Protection, in the US Dept. of Homeland Security, effective in June 2011.

David is a Marine Corps veteran of the Iraq War and the author of two books -- one about his experiences in Iraq and one about the border between the the US and Mexico.

This is a loss for FPRI but a gain for the United States of America.
