FPRI’s Michael Reynolds Testifies at Tsarnaev Boston Bombing Trial
According to The USA Today:
“Jurors received a bit of a global history lesson and how it applies to current-day jihadi actions. Reynolds said that as a result of Chechen wars for independence from Russia in the 1990s and 2000s, jihadi fighters from other regions latched onto the Chechen cause and reframed it as a battle for Muslim liberation.”
On cross-examination, the prosecutors repeatedly referenced Reynolds’ May 2013 FPRI E-Note, “The Northern Caucasus, the Tsarnaevs, and Us“
