Ronald J. Granieri, the Executive Director of FPRI’s Center for the Study of America and the West, and a specialist in Contemporary German and International History. Ron is delighted to return to Germany, where he studied and lived in both Cologne and Heidelberg, stops along this Rhine cruise, and spent time as a professor at the University of Tübingen, teaching the history of West Germany and its place within the larger story of Germany’s place in the modern world. His talks on history and politics will be complemented by those of Olivier Bernier, celebrated author and Museum of Art lecturer; Carol Armstrong, Professor of History of Art at Yale University; and Charles Osgood, noted radio and television commentator.
