Linda Ozola

Linda Ozola is a member of the Riga City Council and former Deputy Mayor of Riga (2020-2025). She started her career as a representative of the Riga City Council and a Member of the Latvian Parliament, Saeima. While an MP, she served on the Committees on Rules of Procedure, Immunities and Institutional Affairs, Health and Sustainable Development, Social Affairs, and Political Affairs and Democracy. She left that role for the position of deputy mayor, focusing on making the Latvian capital city socially responsible and resilient. Linda has been pivotal in Riga’s efforts to locate and increase the number of shelters available for citizens during a crisis and to educate municipal officials and the public on migrant and refugee integration. She also supported digitalization efforts for the city, which led to Riga streamlining its administrative tasks and addressing cybersecurity measures. Lastly, Linda has been a representative of the IcARUS Project, a safety initiative focused on supporting Riga’s youth and increasing trust between Riga’s municipal police and the people.
