BookTalk: A History of Muslims, Christians, and Jews in the Middle East

October 10, 2017 | 6:15 pm to 7:30 pm | Middle East Program

About the Event

In her new book from Cambridge University Press, Heather Sharkey explores the history of day-to-day relations between Muslims, Christians, and Jews in the Middle East, a region once marked by great diversity that is today largely absent. In doing so, she unearths a past poorly understood while offering perspective on today’s conflict-riven region. An award-winning teacher at the University of Pennsylvania, Sharkey received her Ph.D. in history from Princeton University.
