Join Congressman Brendan F. Boyle (PA-2) and EU Ambassador to the United States Stavros Lambrinidis to discuss the importance of the transatlantic relationship.

Q&A moderated by Ronald Granieri, Executive Director of Center for the Study of America and the West at the Foreign Policy Research Institute (FPRI).

 

Congressman Brendan F. Boyle (D) represents the 2nd Pennsylvania congressional district, which includes parts of Philadelphia and Montgomery County. Now in his third term, Congressman Boyle currently serves on the powerful House Ways and Means Committee and the House Committee on the Budget. He is the founder and co-chair of the “Blue Collar Caucus” which advocates for working families by addressing wage stagnation, job insecurity, and the future of work.

 

 

Stavros Lambrinidis is the Ambassador of the European Union to the United States, as of March 1, 2019. Prior to this posting, he served as the European Union Special Representative for Human Rights from 2012 to February 2019. In 2011, he served as the Foreign Affairs Minister of Greece. Between 2004 and 2011, he was twice elected Member of the European Parliament (MEP) with the Greek Social Democratic Party (PASOK). He served as Vice-President of the European Parliament (2009-11), Vice-President of the Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs Committee (2004-09), and Head of the PASOK Delegation (2005-11).
