The Mexico-U.S. Business Committee. Catalyst for the North American Free Trade Agreement

Out of the U.S. Council of the Mexico-U.S. Business Committee (MEXUS) came the idea for a set of common rules and regulations to govern cross-border trade and investment. The resulting North American Free Trade Agreement was a watershed for both Mexico and the United States. Its success was due in large part to MEXUS chairman Rodman Rockefeller, whose vision was to bring together the business communities of both countries.
