Aanu Adeoye

Aanu Adeoye is a Nigerian journalist currently serving as the Mo Ibrahim Foundation Academy Fellow at Chatham House. His research with the Russia and Eurasia programme focuses on the prospects and perils of Russia’s new advance to Africa. He was previously news editor at The Continent, a pan-African newsweekly in Johannesburg, managing editor at TechCabal and a reporting fellow at Rest of World. Aanu’s work has been published by The Guardian, CNN, Foreign Policy, Al-Jazeera, and a host of others. He writes about politics, technology, culture, and development in Africa. He graduated with an MA in Journalism and Media Studies from the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, South Africa as a Konrad Adenauer Stiftung Scholar.
