Devon Cross is the Director of The Policy Forum on International Security Affairs, London, where she has been for the past 10 years. Through this position she has launched a private effort to engage and inform overseas press on US policy through a series of off-the-record press roundtables featuring senior government officials and outside experts addressing a range of defense and foreign policy issues. Prior to joining PFISA, she was the President of the Donors’ Forum on International Affairs (New York City), the Executive Director of The Gilder Foundation (New York City), the President of Donner Canadian Foundation (Toronto, Canada), and Director at Smith Richardson Foundation (New York City). She has also worked as a Senior Editor for The Washington Quarterly. She serves on the Board or is affiliated with the John M. Olin Center for Strategic Studies, Harvard University; Pentagon’s Defense Policy Board (2000-2009); Center for Strategic and Budgetary Assessments; The Peter Munk Charitable Foundation; Member, Council on Foreign Relations; The Philanthropy Roundtable’s National Security Working Group; The Center for Security Policy; The New World Symphony; and Delphi Capital (2005-2008). She received her MA in National Security Studies/US Foreign Policy from Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies; and her BA in History from Bryn Mawr College. Ms. Cross is fluent in French, and has a working knowledge of Italian.
