Emir Suljagic

Dr. Emir Suljagic is a lecturer on international relations at the International University of Sarajevo. Before entering academia, Dr. Suljagic served as Deputy Defense Minister in the Defense Ministry of Bosnia and Hercegovina.Prior to that, he was the chief coordinator of the March 1st Coalition, a nationwide post-war network of survivors, refugees and IDP organizations. He has served in other leadership roles in government and civil society with a firm journalistic credentials. Dr. Suljagic holds a PhD from the Institute for Peace Research and Security Policy at the University of Hamburg and an MA from the University of Bologna.
