Federico Santi is a Senior Analyst at Eurasia Group. He focuses on southern Europe, EU and Eurozone economic governance, and European energy issues.

Earlier in his career, Federico worked as a policy officer at the European Commission and as a research assistant for a National Bureau of Economic Research project in Washington, DC. He also worked at the Overseas Private Investment Corporation (now the US International Development Finance Corporation), the EU Delegation to the United States, and the US Senate. Federico, who holds a master’s degree in international affairs and economics from George Washington University and a bachelor’s degree in political science and international affairs from the University of Bologna, is fluent in Italian, English, Spanish, and French.
