Helle Malmvig

Dr. Helle Malmvig is Senior Researcher at The Danish Institute for International Studies (DIIS). Malmvig has been a visiting scholar at Centre d’Études et de Recherces Internationales (CERI) Science Po in Paris, and at Watson Institute for International Studies, Brown University. She has published articles and books on Middle East politics, state sovereignty and intervention, US and EU Middle East policies, and on conflict and creative resistance in Syria. Helle Malmvig is advising The Danish Ministry of Defence, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Danish Parliament and the EU Commission, She was a member of the recent government commissioned study on Diplomacy and Defence in Times of Change Malmvig is a frequently used commentator and speaker on Middle East issues in national and international media (e.g. BBC World,  al Jazeera, France3, Le Figaro, Huffington Post, Christian Science Monitor), she is also the Danish EuroMeSco representative, and has served as a member of the Advisory Committee for the Anna Lindh Foundation for Dialogue between Cultures, based in Alexandria Egypt.
