Lt. Gen. (ret.) Jeffrey Kohler is vice president of International Business Development for Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS), responsible for leading international marketing and sales. He joined Boeing in 2008 after retiring from active duty with the U.S. Air Force as a Lieutenant General. His last position was as director of the Defense Security Cooperation Agency within the Office of the Secretary of Defense. While there, he led U.S. foreign military sales and financing programs, international military education and training, and humanitarian assistance and mine action programs. During his 34-year Air Force career, Kohler also held several key command and staff positions, including director of Plans and Policy at U.S. European Command Headquarters in Germany, director of Operational Plans at USAF Headquarters in Washington, D.C, and served on a NATO staff in Germany. He earned a Master of Arts degree in history from the University of Indiana at Bloomington and a Bachelor of Science degree from the U.S. Air Force Academy. He also completed courses at the U.S. Army’s School of Advanced Military Studies and the National Security Leadership Course at the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies. Kohler is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and a Trustee for the Foreign Policy Research Institute.
