Jonathan Clarke, a former British diplomat, is a senior associate at the Asia Pacific Policy Center in Washington, DC. He writes on foreign affairs for the Los Angeles Times and his book After the Crusade: The Lies and Lethargies of American Foreign Policy is being published in 1995 by Madison Books.
