Lieutenant Colonel Lee Turcotte is an Air Force civil engineer and explosive ordnance disposal officer with 20 years of service. His experience has ranged from Afghan provincial reconstruction, to leading bomb squads in combat to render safe roadside bombs, to overseeing the Air Force’s European construction portfolio from the Pentagon. His eight deployments
include four trips to Afghanistan, plus Jordan, Iraq, Kenya with the UN, and post-Katrina New Orleans. His other overseas experience has focused on supporting European allies, and he has
particularly enjoyed working with NATO in various capacities. He has a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and a master’s degree in international relations.
