Natasha Iskander

Natasha Iskander is the James Weldon Johnson Professor of Urban Planning and Public Policy at New York University’s Wagner School of Public Service.  She is the author of Does Skill Make Us Human?: Migrant Workers in 21st-Century Qatar and Beyond (Princeton UP 2021).  Her work focuses on how migration’s dislocations and discontinuities produce new knowledges and new opportunities for solidarities, and she has conducted research on these questions in multiple sites of immigration and emigration around the world.
