Salome Pachkoria

Salome Pachkoria is a Research Intern at the Foreign Policy Research Institute. She is a contributor to FPRI’s BMB Ukraine, a popular twice-weekly news brief that covers Ukrainian domestic and foreign affairs. Prior to joining FPRI, Salome interned at the Center for International Policy and at the Stimson Center where she worked on several projects as a Research and Administrative Intern. She holds a dual Master’s degree from Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey in International Policy and Development and International Trade and Economic Diplomacy with a language specialization in Russian. She is also a graduate of the Free University of Tbilisi where she received her Bachelor’s Degree in International Relations. Salome is from Georgia and her interests include foreign policies of Eastern European countries, Russia’s influence on them, pro-western and anti-western sentiments in these countries, as well as the impact of these processes on U.S. foreign policy.
