Scott LaFoy

Fellow - National Security Program

Scott LaFoy is a Fellow at the Foreign Policy Research Institute (FPRI) and a specialist in nuclear weapons, the nuclear weapons industrial complex, ballistic missiles, and missile defenses, particularly in China and North Korea. He also specializes in the civilian nuclear sector and emerging energy generation, fuel cycle, and reprocessing concerns. He is currently Vice President for Nuclear and Technology Security Programs at Exiger, where he focuses on the application of AI to protect and manage supply chains for highly targeted technologies across the nuclear, emerging technology, and strategic defense sectors, as well as leveraging AI to enhance research security and counter-malign-influence in sensitive national-security research efforts.

He received a B.A. in Government from Georgetown University and an M.A. in Security Studies from the Georgetown University Security Studies Program.
