Senior Fellow - Asia Program
So-Heng Chang served as a visiting scholar at the Foreign Policy Research Institute and University of Pennsylvania, from January 2010 through January 2011, during which time he completed work on his dissertation on US-China-Taiwan relations. In January 2011, he was named a Senior Fellow of FPRI. He is an associate research fellow at Cross-Strait Interflow Prospect Foundation and a Ph.D. candidate at Cheng-Chi University in Taipei.
Before returning to Taiwan, Chang presented a paper on “The Political Implications of Taiwan’s Five Big Mayoral Elections,” as part of a panel discussion on “Taiwan: Elections at Home, Economic Relations with the Mainland and U.S.-China-Taiwan Relations,” held on December 8, 2010 and sponsored by the Foreign Policy Research Institute, the Center for East Asian Studies of University of Pennsylvania and Penn Taiwanese Society.
