Ty Joplin

Research Intern - Middle East Program

Ty Joplin is a Fall 2015 Research Assistant to FPRI Senior Fellow and Haverford professor Barak Mendelsohn, where he is analyzing jihadi in-fighting. He has previously worked as the Herman Somers Research Intern at the Moshe Dayan Center for Middle Eastern and African Studies in Tel Aviv, Israel, as a Diplomatic Policy Researcher at OxPolicy in Oxford, England, and as a Research Assistant to Johns Hopkins political theory professor P.J. Brendese. Ty is a rising senior at Haverford College, where he majors in Political Science with a minor in Philosophy and a keen focus on Middle Eastern studies, Arabic, and Radicalization.
