Revisiting Deterrence: What’s Changed from 2007 to 2022

July 14, 2022 | 10:00 am to 11:00 am | Orbis

About the Event

In a 2007 article for Orbis, Elbridge Colby argued, "deterrence is a security policy offering a way forward for the United States that is not only more effective because it is more tailored, but is also more moral than its alternatives." Colby, the recent author of the new book "Strategy of Denial" (reviewed by Ashley Tellis in the summer 2022 issue of Orbis) will join Orbis editor Nikolas Gvosdev to discuss how his perspective has evolved or changed over the last fifteen years.
