A nation must think before it acts.
July 26, 2023 | 10:00 am to 11:00 am | Africa Program
Southern Africa is home to countries that are key to relations between the continent of Africa and many large foreign economies. The crown jewel of the region, South Africa, will have a significant impact on how the rest of sub-Saharan Africa relates to Russia, China, the EU, and the US, especially in regards the war in Ukraine, which might also impact how the US does business in the region.
Dr. Carla D. Jones a professor at Sam Houston State University and 2021 Templeton Fellow, and Dr. Zoe Lees of the Dutch Development Bank join FPRI’s Africa Program chair, Ambassador Charles Ray to take a look at doing business in Southern Africa, and how that might be impacted by recent events in South Africa relating to its relations with Russia and China. This is the third program in the Africa Program’s series “Doing Business in Africa.”
