The Future of the Turkish Economy

May 02, 2023 | 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm | Middle East Program

About the Event

Once characterized as an economic miracle in the 2000s, Turkey's economy has experienced significant challenges in the last decade under Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's Justice and Development Party. As Turkey approaches crucial elections on May 14, please join Bilge Yılmaz, Chairman of Economic Policies for the İyi Party, a member of Turkey's opposition coalition, and Professor of Finance at the Wharton School, in conversation with James Ryan to discuss the role economic issues are playing in the election campaign, and how the opposition coalition is preparing to meet the current challenges facing the country.
