As winter approaches, the war in Ukraine is entering a critical phase. Recent escalation, the Trump-Putin diesel deal, and a spat between Kyiv and Washington all point to a challenging season for Ukraine.
Eurasia Director Emily Holland will be joined by Senior Fellow Rob Lee, one of the leading analysts of the Russian military and the war in Ukraine, to assess the state of the battlefield, and military balance.
Drawing on Lee’s extensive field work in Ukraine, the discussion will examine recent Russian and Ukrainian military developments, drone campaigns, the evolving demands on both sides, and the strategic choices facing both Russia and Ukraine heading into winter.
