A nation must think before it acts.
The National Czech & Slovak Museum & Library in Cedar Rapids, IA, has hired FPRI Associate Scholar Kevin J. McNamara as a consultant for a forthcoming exhibit, Guts & Glory: The War Train that Shaped a Nation, which is scheduled to open in April 1918. The exhibit will be based on the story McNamara recounts in his recent book, Dreams of a Great Small Nation: The Mutinous Army that Threatened a Revolution, Destroyed an Empire, Founded a Republic, and Remade the Map of Europe (New York: Public Affairs, 2016), about World War One, the Russian Revolution, and the founding of Czecho-Slovakia.
