FPRI’s Ronald Granieri Quoted in the Washington Examiner on Merkel-Trump Relationship

Prior to the meeting between Merkel and Trump in March 2017, Granieri discussed what the visit could look like, saying that “Merkel isn’t likely to return Trump’s criticisms while visiting Washington this week.”

‘She may offer some vague criticisms of American policy, but I think she is going to more or less emphasize that she is a long-term partner of the U.S.,’ Granieri said.”
