With reports that federal investigators have raised the possibility of a subpoena for his testimony in the probe of Russian interference in the 2016 elections, President Donald Trump on Wednesday again proclaimed that his campaign’s actions were not coordinated with Moscow, that he did nothing to impede an investigation which he says is a hoax, arguing that certain inquiries would be “outrageous,” and again threatening to get involved in the specifics of the probe.
“They don’t want to turn over Documents to Congress,” the President tweeted, evidently referring to spats between Republicans in the House and the Department of Justice over evidence related to the Russia investigation, and the probe of Hillary Clinton’s emails.
