Natalia Kopytnik

Director of Communications

Natalia Kopytnik is the Director of Communications at the Foreign Policy Research Institute (FPRI) where she leads the Institute’s communications strategy and innovation, digital and social media, and other external engagement efforts. Working closely with the full spectrum of FPRI programs, Ms. Kopytnik oversees the design of FPRI’s digital communication products, including report design and layout, information graphics and data visualizations, and web and interactive design. She also produces FPRI’s Chain Reaction, Bear Market Brief, Baltic Ways, Report in Short, Overheard, and 1st Draft podcasts, and serves as the Design Editor of Orbis, Journal of World Affairs, and Bear Market Brief newsletter. Ms. Kopytnik works closely with FPRI fellows and research staff to find creative ways to maximize the impact of their research. 

Prior to joining FPRI, Natalia worked as an editor and translator for various Polish publications within the Warsaw Business Journal Group and received a Robert Schuman Fellowship with the European Parliament Liaison Office with US Congress. She received her B.A. in History from Temple University and her M.A. in Eurasian, Russian and East European Studies from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service.

Ms. Kopytnik is passionate about the intersection of design, research, and storytelling, and how these elements can work in synergy to inform and inspire policymakers and the public.
