As a Cameroonian diplomat and scholar specializing in conflict resolution and security studies, Dr. Motaze, Emmanuel Roger serves as a civil servant for the Cameroonian administration. In this capacity, he leads analysis on diplomatic and security issues and contributes to national refugee status governance. He is a permanent lecturer in the field of international relations in several institutions namely, the International Relations Institute of Cameroon and the International School for Security Forces.

In addition to his contributions in public service and education, Dr. Motaze is a distinguished analyst at the Atlas Institute for International Affairs, the Foreign Policy Research Institute, and the African Security Sector Network. His research is centered on political risk, peacebuilding, and security sector governance in Africa, and he regularly contributes research and commentary on these issues. He is also member of the Network of Startegic Research Centers in Central Africa.

Dr. Motaze holds a Ph.D. in International Relations with a specialization in Conflict Resolution from the Geneva School of Diplomacy. He also possesses graduate degrees from the International Relations Institute of Cameroon and Norwich University (USA) and a B.A. in War and Peace Studies from Norwich University, the Military College of Vermont.
