David J. Betz, an FPRI Senior Fellow, is a Professor in the Department of War Studies, King’s College London, where he heads the Insurgency Research Group and is Academic Director of the on-line master’s degree, War in the Modern World. He has written widely on issues of the conduct of contemporary warfare, insurgency and counterinsurgency, information warfare and the RMA, most recently in the Journal of Strategic Studies and the Journal of Contemporary Security Policy. He also has a main research interest in the Russian military and civil-military relations.
