Dr. Julian Pawlak is an International Security Associate at the German Institute for International and Security Affairs. He conducts research on security policy, strategy, and defense with particular focus on: hybrid warfare and protection of (maritime) critical infrastructure, maritime strategy and security; sea power, the Baltic Sea region and NATO’s northern flank, and security and defense policy in Northern and Eastern Europe.
