The Ties That Bind: NATO at 75 and Beyond

June 26, 2024 | 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm | Eurasia Program

About the Event

2024 marks NATO’s 75th anniversary and the Washington summit in July will be both a celebration of sorts given the occasion but couched in the context of the ongoing war in Ukraine, and the uncertainty of future Western support for Ukraine. On the other hand, the alliance is arguably stronger than ever, with Finland and Sweden as its new members and a newfound sense of unity in the face of continued Russian aggression.

What are some of the greatest challenges facing NATO as the alliance celebrates its 75th anniversary? How has NATO shaped the transatlantic relationship and the security environment in Europe? What should the next 75 years look like for NATO? To answer these questions and more, join FPRI and its distinguished guest speakers in Philadelphia, for an in-person event on Wednesday, June 26.

FPRI is happy to provide this event free of charge thanks to the generous support of our members, partners, and event attendees. If you are not currently a member, the suggested donation is $25.
