Mohammed A. Salih is a Non-Resident Senior Fellow in the Foreign Policy Research Institute’s National Security Program and a researcher and journalist based in Virginia, United States. He holds a Ph.D. from the Annenberg School for Communication at the University of Pennsylvania.
For more than two decades, Salih has written extensively on Middle Eastern affairs for leading regional and international media outlets, think tanks, and academic journals. His work centers on Kurdish affairs, Iraq, Iran, Syria, the Islamic State group, and regional geopolitical struggles, as well as the broader intersection of media, culture, and politics.
