About the Young Professionals Advisory Board

The Young Professionals Advisory Board (YPAB) at the Foreign Policy Research Institute (FPRI) is a group of supporters who bring a new perspective to the organization’s mission. With a diverse mix of young professionals, YPAB is the vehicle for FPRI to plan for its future and engage with the next generation of leaders.

Meet our YPAB members

YPAB members use their resources and networks to spark interest and garner support for our mission. It is about more than just networking – about assisting FPRI’s leadership with planning for the future, inspiring future leaders interested in foreign policy, and making a difference in our community.

FPRI is here to help young professionals make valuable connections and grow as community-oriented leaders through our consistent programming and service opportunities.

We also offer a variety of free activities for our members, including exclusive networking events, foreign policy briefings, and community initiatives.

Our YPAB members are committed to raising FPRI’s profile in their communities.

Objectives of the Young Professionals Board include:

  • Work directly with FPRI’s president on planning for the organization’s future.
  • Build awareness and networks of FPRI among young professionals.
  • Support social media marketing efforts and campaigns.
  • Support special fundraising events and activities.
  • Create unique YPAB events and opportunities for young professionals and colleagues as value-added parts of FPRI activities.
  • Develop an understanding of Board protocol, skills, and governance.
