Special Events Internships

The Special Events intern work with the Events Coordinator and will be responsible for various tasks, including (but not limited to) the following:

  • Providing day-to-day administrative support to the Events Coordinator
  • Work to plan all events alongside the Events Coordinator, including support with the following:
    • Promotional content related to events
    • Venue/catering logistics
    • Communication with guest speaker(s) regarding the event
  • Assisting with formatting layouts and editing/proofreading content for FPRI’s weekly emails including recent/upcoming news and events
  • Research ways to increase FPRI’s visibility through public relations and marketing
  • Attend events outside of normal working hours (pay is $15/hour for each event)
  • Help with communication tasks related to events

 

Successful candidates will have the following qualifications:

  • Social media proficiency (including Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn, Instagram)
  • Superior writing, editing, and interpersonal skills
  • High level of organizational, time management, and critical thinking skills
  • Skilled at managing competing priorities within a fast-paced environment
  • Eager to engage in and learn within a team-oriented workplace
  • Courses in or understanding of foreign policy
