Dr. Alberto Bueno is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Political Science and Public Administration and a member of the Institute for Peace and Conflict at the University of Granada. He is an Adjunct Professor at the University of Leipzig (Germany) and a Non-resident Fellow at UTSYN – Centre for Security and Total Defence (Norway). His research focuses on defence policy, military and national security, and civil-military relations. He has published in academic journals such as Armed Forces & Society, Defense & Security Analysis, European Politics & Society, and Revista Española de Investigaciones Sociológicas. He is an alumnus of the International Visitor Leadership Program of the U.S. Department of State. He has been an invited speaker at the Bundeswehr Centre of Military History and Social Sciences (Germany), NATO Special Operations Headquarters (Belgium), the Joint Military Defence Academy of Ecuador, CIDOB, and various Spanish universities. He regularly collaborates with national and international media outlets.
