Kenneth Simiyu

Kenneth Simiyu has over 23 years of progressive leadership experience in designing, grant-making, and managing the implementation of Science, Technology, and Innovation programs globally. He was formerly an innovation advisor with the Center for Innovation and Impact for USAID’s Bureau for Global Health, focusing on supporting health innovation, market access, and innovative finance.

Before working at USAID, he worked at Grand Challenges Canada as a program officer and at the University of Maryland, where he directed a program to eliminate typhoid in Africa and Asia.

He has worked with a broad array of collaborators, including grantees, multi- and bilateral donors, and governments, to achieve development goals and to create and foster sustainable regional and international partnerships in Africa, Asia, and South America.
