Lewis Regenstein

Lewis Regenstein, an Atlanta writer and Charter Member of the Association of Former Intelligence Officers (AFIO), worked for the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency during the 1960’s, in the Domestic Collection Service , which gathered intelligence from Americans who travelled abroad, resettled defectors, and provided operational support for the operations directorate. Earlier he worked as a China specialist during the Cultural Revolution. Mr. Regenstein is also the author of ten books and dozens of articles, book reviews, and feature stories on World War II, The Civil War, espionage, wildlife, and the environment.
