Mark Grdovic is the author of Those Who Face Death: The Untold Story of Special Forces and the Iraqi Resistance. He has served with the 5th and 10th Special Forces Groups (Airborne), the U.S. Army John F. Kennedy Special Warfare Center and School, the U.S. Army Special Operations Command, the White House Military Office, and Special Operations Command, Central Command.  His service includes multiple deployments to Bosnia, Iraq, Afghanistan, and various crisis response operations in Africa.  Since his retirement, he has worked as a Strategic Planner at the U.S. Central Command and as an adjunct faculty member and course director for the Joint Unconventional Warfare Course at the Joint Special Operations University.  He is currently a contractor with Booz Allen Hamilton, supporting the U.S. Special Operations Command, J3-International Division as the Senior International Special Operations Force Advisor.
