Maya Orenstein is a sophomore in the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Pennsylvania studying Political Science and minoring in Psychology and Legal Studies + History. She is from Philadelphia, PA, USA. She is passionate about understanding global issues and conflicts through a historical and psychological lens. As an active member of the International Affairs Association, she dedicates time along with the other members to plan, organize, and staff Model UN conferences for high school and college students. She is also involved with the West Philly tutoring project where she works with local students to improve their reading and writing abilities. She aspires to continue her studies focusing specifically on the intersection of politics and psychology and potentially pursue a career in law. In her free time, she enjoys reading and spending time outdoors.
