Robert Person is a Non-Resident Senior Fellow in the Foreign Policy Research Institute’s Eurasia Program. His research on Russian politics and foreign policy has been published in a variety of outlets, including Foreign Affairs, International Affairs, the Journal of Democracy, Post-Soviet Affairs, and elsewhere.

His commentary on current events in Russia and Ukraine has appeared in the New York Times, the Washington Post, US News & World Report, NPR, BBC, The Telegraph, Deutsche Welle, Le Monde, and other international media. He frequently consults on geopolitical risk and international security strategy for the US government and in the private sector.

Dr. Person holds a PhD in political science from Yale University and an MA in Russian and East European Studies from Stanford University.
